The Building Process

The building process starts well before any actual construction takes place.  There are a few things that need to happen first.  You will need to choose a builder.  But, be sure to find a builder that is both licensed and insured.  You can look up a contractor's license at DPOR.VA.Gov/LicenseLookup.  For a contractor who is building new construction homes the license should have the classification of building (BLD) and will say so when you look it up.  You will also need to touch base with a lender, find land you want to build on, pick a house plan (searchable websites for house plans are listed on our Gallery page) and have a contract established between you and Bostic Realestate Properties, LLC.  If you are new to this process that may sound a little overwhelming.  Don’t worry, we are here to help with each and every step!  Donnie Bostic is a licensed realtor in the state of Virginia so, he is familiar with many lenders and the programs that they offer.  Also, he can help you select your land and assist you with finding and customizing a house plan that matches your criteria and budget.  Once those decisions have been made a contract can be drawn up for the building of your dream home.  After all of that has been accomplished it will finally be time to select the location of your home on the land you have chosen and decide which trees you might want to keep, where you want the drive way, etc.  As the actual construction of your home progresses, you will be presented with the information you need as you go to choose colors and styles to go inside your home.  And finally, your dream home will be complete!!
