Area Information

Dinwiddie County is approximately 504 square miles.  It located approximately 25 miles south of Richmond.  Dinwiddie offers a rural setting but is convenient to I-85, I-95 and 460 West.  Dinwiddie is not far from the cities of  Colonial Heights, Hopewell and Petersburg and is bordered by the counties of Chesterfield, Prince George, Sussex, Greensville, Brunswick, Nottoway and Ameila.  Also, Fort Lee lies just East of Dinwiddie County and Fort Pickett to the West.  On the northern side of the county you will find Lake Chesdin, a beautiful 3100 acre lake.  I encourage you to check out the links below for more information on many of the surrounding areas.
